Manikin Design Lab

The Manikin Design Lab (A482 Mayo) is the developmental space for creating mannequins and artificial tissue and organs.

The lab space is used to create realistic human tissues and organs for use in surgical simulation and training devices. It is here that molds are cast, and carefully designed compounds are mixed to form final deliverable models. Using our advanced methods for 3D reconstruction of anatomical structures as mold templates, and our database of tissue behavior algorithms for surface strength, the Manikin Lab is capable of producing organs, vessels and tissue layers that will mimic real human structures.
